Choosing the right footstool
What height should a footstool be?
As a rule, a footstool should be roughly the same height as your sofa seat, so your knees rest naturally. Our stools are around 40 cm high, which suits most UK sofas; the storage stools are taller so they double as extra seating.
Can I use it as a seat as well?
Yes. The storage stools and the larger pouffes are built to be sat on. Each product page gives a maximum load, typically 120–150 kg.
Care and cleaning
Are the covers removable?
Most of our stools have a removable cover with a zip. Check the individual product page; where the cover is removable we state it in the specification table.
How do I clean it?
Remove the cover and wash it on a gentle cycle at 30°C, then air dry. Faux leather wipes clean with a damp cloth — do not machine wash it.
Ordering and delivery
Do you deliver outside the UK?
Not at the moment. Only UK addresses can complete checkout, so nobody is charged for a delivery we cannot make. If you need international shipping, contact us first and we will see what we can do.
Is delivery really free?
Yes, free to all UK addresses, with no minimum order value.
Do prices include VAT?
Yes, all prices include UK VAT at 20%.
Can I cancel my order?
Yes — you have a 14-day statutory right to cancel, and we extend that to 30 days. See Delivery & Returns for the details.
Assembly
Do I need to assemble anything?
Most stools arrive fully assembled. Where legs need attaching, the product page says so and the fittings are included.
